The Delaware Valley Fields Foundation donated 50 pounds of Keystone Rosen rye to the Delaware Valley University in Buck County, Pa on September 27, 2019.

The Delaware Valley Fields Foundation donated 50 lbs of Keystone Rosen rye seed to Delaware Valley University on September 27, 2019 to be planted in experimental fields in Doylestown, PA. The efforts were funded by the DVFF.

Greg Hinderliter, DVU crop production manager, used detailed information and guidance provided by Greg Roth and Mark Antle at PSU to manage production of the crop on an experimental agricultural plot in Doylestown, PA.   

The harvest of approximately 700 pounds was cleaned by Double Eagle Malthouse in Huntingdon Valley, PA. Approximately 100 pounds was planted in Lancaster County, PA on a small experimental plot of farmland on the Kline Family Farm in Lititz, PA.


Approximately 600 pounds was to sent to Liberty Pole Spirits in Washington, PA to be made into rye whiskey. The distillation run took place on October 7, 2020 and was entered into a 53 gallon barrel the same day.
